Carn Euny is an ancient site in Penzance, Cornwall, populated in the Iron Age with stone built huts and fogou (a stone built passageway which extends 20 metres under the ground). The site also has earlier neolithic links.

These guardian figures represent the imagined spirits of the ruined village, who watch and protect the remains. Their fungoid structure means they can often be seen patrolling the length of the fogou, drawn to the dark and the damp.

Made from upcycled/reclaimed fabrics with shell and wood beads, iridescent sequins and hand stitching.
