PALE MARGRYTE : Bringer of Plagues

Atop the Brocken stands the bringer of plagues, mother of pestilence and famine. With cruel eye and hand of malice she casts forth myriad infestations of rats and attendant fleas to cause chaos in the surrounding hamlets and villagesj, moulds and mildews to wither the crops and grains, wasting diseases to cause boils and goitres, inflaming the bodies of hundreds.

Most reviled and celebrated of the Witches congregating on this May eve, she is mistress of all ague and ailment, purulence and pustulence.

Doll with handpainted face, curly sheeplock hair, hand sewn clothing with silk, organza and velvet and beaded belt, with charms and bottles. She sits on a wooden base with textured gravel, skate steps and flock details.
