Large textile art piece depicting the cyclical relationship between Hades and Persephone. The vibrant and abundant earth contrasts with the dark and earthy underworld, as Hades hands Persephone a pomegranate, the symbol of regeneration.
The two figures are fixed to a frame with intricate beading and wrapped with threads and fabric wrappings twisted to form roots and branches. Hand beaded leaves and hanging beads detail and hand embroidered pomegranate and corn sheaf complete.
